Chicken Hugs

This week was a slow one work wise! We tried street contacting in some neighborhoods we'd never been to, and got rejected like crazy ahhh we loved it tho I literally eat rejection for breakfast  We did service today for a memorial day event, had the best jambalaya I've ever consumed and got cake all over the place they loved us We've been helping a member of ours build and clean her garden that was damaged by the hurricane, and it is SO fun! We build chicken coops and chase baby chicks all over the yard  Elders Kaufusi and Beaver came from LSU to our DC this week along w the APs so we had a district council the size of a zone haha so blessed We're on the last week of our marathon transfer of almost 8 weeks! So pray for my sanity, LOVE YALL

I have no motivation to write an email so it's gonna be short! HA!  this week we did a baptismal invite initiative, we extended 55 invites!! It led to incredible blessings including a progressing family, and a street contact actually being a long lost gray dot!  We did a ton of service this week, lots of yard work for peeps which is so fun cus everything grows in excess down here, peoples' gardens are stunning!!  I LOVE YALL! have a beautiful week!

Prophecy Fulfilled

Image
This week Sister Miller's prophecy was fulfilled! Our first night in the mission home she said we'd reunite as comps our 7th transfer. And this week we went on an exchange!! It was so blessed, we got bashed out of our minds and we loved it. We also checked a ton of things off Sister Petersons bucket list! That thing is magic and has led to some wild experiences- this week was fireflies and a spontaneous crawfish boil family reunion. We also had a Zone Conference that rocked my world and an incredible Mother's Day! 13 inactive members came to sacrament meeting!  It was one of the best weeks. God is so good to Mandeville. Love yall and have a great week!

Commando At A Five Guys

I don't have much time for an email but this week was crazy!! We did some service for a community group that cleans the highways- in the middle of a classic Louisiana rainstorm! Ended up taking a nose dive into a 2 ft of sewage in a ditch to go after my companion and smelled delicious the rest of the day.  We also got a flat tire in a rain storm!! Had a Hispanic and a Cajun changing it for us which was a very exciting conversation. I'll never get tired of southern hospitality. We had stake conference, mandy 2 exchanges, and fought off colds but ended up with Nyquil all over the car.

This email's coming in a little later cus we spent the day in New Orleans! We made a bucket list for Sister Peterson to work on while she's here, and jokingly put meeting a famous person on it! But we actually ran into a chick from Good Morning America so that was hilarious.  We did nothing but spanish work this week, not really on purpose but they just kept showing up!! So many families interested in the gospel, and English class! I love throwing my comp into the fire when I can't help out cus I don't speak Spanish haha It was another beautiful week, the weather is jumping up again to kick off May!! Also, Elder Corbitt of the Seventy did a lil devo for our mission that totally leveled up our studies! It was amazing!  Love yall and have a great week!
