This week was a blast!!! We've been adopted into the friend group of the old peeps in the ward and it's kinda the best. One sister is tailoring some dresses for me and all her friends were helping her size me during relief society yesterday, it was hilarious!!  We went to a 100th birthday party for a teaching friend's dad, and expected to be joining some cute family gathering. It actually turned out to be a 50 person reunion at the Baptist church with pastors from all the local denominations- and the mayor of mandeville was there! I thought prayer-talking was awesome but I'd never heard it from 50 peeps all at once haha you couldn't even hear the girl praying.  We also had a massive muddy dog jump in our brand new car!! We got it just last week, the thing had 450 miles on it and the dog jumped in every seat and shook off all over everything!! Super fun cleaning that all up but cute pup.  I got another exchange with my girl Sister Miller this week!! She got me with t

MAN ITS HOT. We shower twice a day cus the sweating is unreal and showing up to peoples houses dripping wet is not the move. We're acclimated a little more now tho so prayers answered We've seen a ton of snakes lately, low-key big ones, too. They're not much of a concern tho compared to the bloodsucking moths that just migrated here or something idk but those things are LETHAL We had tons of great lessons this week!! Our members are just my favorite, especially the cute old ladies.  We had ZoCo this week! It was President Amos' last, it was so sad!! But it was fun to see some Gulfport missionaries I hadn't seen in a few months!!  We decided to give Free Jesus Books a go on the lakefront, usually it isn't super successful cus Mandeville be boujee but it was actually pretty good! Sister Coburn really gave her all to chasing people down- there's a picture for proof. I love yall so much!! Have a beautiful little week

Moist Towelettes

This week KICKED MY TRASH lemme tell ya. The heat got unreal and we haven't even hit the peak of summer weather. One day we got heat exhaustion so bad we were seeing spots and were mega tipsy on the bikes. When we literally collapsed on our doorstep we realized we were locked out- with no water or access to AC. Sooooo we layed on the cement and cooked while listening to a BYU devo.  The members all hate the heat too so like 2/3 of the ward moves out west for the summer leaving us with all the old people and the bishopric. Bishop said during the summer we're all just moist towelettes which was so out of pocket it made me actually pee my pants laughing at a ward BBQ.  We spent some good time with members, one of which has a bunch of pet snakes and lizards. It was chill until we asked which snake was the meanest and they answered with, "The yellow one, but he's been lost for like a month." Yup, lost IN THE HOUSE. Loved it. We met some super blessed people this week,

In Heaven At The Latest

Craaazy week! I worked with 3 different companions and did so much traveling my goodness.  We started the week by loading up Sister Peterson and taking her to Baton Rouge to send her off to Spain! Something our friend Mariah said was so cute so I'm gonna steal it.  See ya later sister- in heaven at the latest:)  Sister Newbold came to be my companion for the week, and we had a blast working both our areas separately over the phone.   We did some service building a fence for an inactive member! It's so fun being being outside and working hard until you ask where the bathroom is and get directed to a 3×3 tent with a trash bag in it. I would've gone for it if I hadn't seen a demon spider on his web in there- I was convinced if I zipped myself in with it I'd panic and bring the whole place down. And its not very polite here in Lousiana to demo people's guest bathroom without permission  On Friday we had transfer-point! It was a party to be reunited with some old fri
