Missionary Torture Chamber

Looking down the final stretch of my time at the MTC is a relief, but there were lots of good memories made with the peeps.     Spent my entire two weeks worth of missionary allowance on tide sticks.     Learned to pay more attention when sis miller is popping pills in the morning, or she's gonna spend the day on a ridiculous caffeine high.     Watched our district elders pick up way more girls speaking broken spanish than english.      Hosted new arriving missionaries, and we were in the abduction tunnel, I was pumped.      Woke up every morning to a loving smack in the face from my companion's pillow.      Did baptisms today, and our elders got to baptize and confirm us! Super spiritual experience to finish the week with. Almost as glorious as whooping up on another disrict in sand volleyball last week.      Our tuesday devotional came from Elder Curtis of the Seventy. Singing in the choir during the meeting was so so fun. He gave us a sneek peek at the upcoming book of mormo

MTC Move In

Hellooo! It's already P-day, so my emails are a little close together. (I sent my last one on "travel day" don't tell my prez :))  Move in was smooth sailing, and day one left me sleeping like a baby.     An elder in my district got hurt in the gym, so we get to wheel him around campus with us, definitely helps burn off the delicious cafeteria food. We don't know for sure what's wrong, but they suspect a meniscus tear, so pray for Elder Teel, it would be a heavy loss for him, the district, and the Provo mission if he had to go home.     We're in Branch 1 so this weekend we get to help with welcoming new sister missionaries. Not totally sure what that will look like yet, but definitely hoping to be in the parking garage to "abduct" them from their families.       A great message I've heard from the last few days comes from a talk by Elder Bednar. He compared the natural man to the cookie monster, who wants what he wants and wants it now. Bedna

Hi everyone! Welcome to the mission email, no backing out now :)     Home MTC is offically over and I'm headed to provo. It's been a loaded week filled with laughs, naps, and the overwhelming love of Christ.     I'll start with a shoutout to my companion, Sister Miller! She was a sweetheart from day one and I can't wait to see how amazing she does in Louisiana.      The week was honestly a blur but since my journal is full and my scriptures a rainbow of markings we can assume I learned something.     I want to share a quick thought from Alma 31. I chose verse 35 to go on my mission plaque because it is centered around bringing our brethren unto the Lord. But the most significant line, to me, of the verse says, "Behold, O Lord, their souls are precious."  God sees great worth in each of us, your soul is precious to Him. True christlike service is founded upon love, and if we are to serve our brethren as Jesus did, then we first must love     So, on that note, t
