Ain't No Thang!

It was a speedy but full week! We had an emergency stake conference to reorganize the stake presidency, so we got to hear from Elder Craig and Dunn of the Seventy! Craig said his favorite word he'd learned here in the south was "thang" so now my theme for this week is "ain't no thang," since we said it about pretty much everything.

Get stuck ankle deep in the mud to get to a friends front door? Ain't no thang.
Stand in the torrential rain to back the car out? Ain't no thang.
Spend 20 miles to get to the Mississippi River just for the bridge to be closed? Ain't no thang.
Hold every district meeting outside in blazing wet heat because an elder has covid? Ain't no thang.
Resist temptation and strive for righteousness all the years of our mortal life? AINT NO THANG!!!

It really was a great week though, all of our rejection and scheduling struggles left us with ample free time to connect to the spirit in study. Which all paid off last night when we decided to pray over the last hour of the day.
We had an overwhelming prompting to visit our friend Kayla. When we got there she, looked at us through the curtains and didnt answer. But we stood there, letting the minutes roll by. Somehow she eventually decided to join us on the porch.
We talked for a little, but at one point I just grabbed the BOM and said we are here on behalf of the Lord, and He's been preparing you for this!! And I stuck the book in her hands.
She erupted in excitement that we were going to GIVE it to her!! She told us we needed to leave immediately so she could start reading. :) the whole week was worth it just for us to be ready to be guided to her.

Other than that we had zone conf! So I got to catch up w Elder McDonough, don't worry Elder Mumford I gave him a big kiss for ya.

Love you all! Remember that anything life may ask of you, it ain't no thang! The Savior suffered infinitely so that we could live the life we have. Any pains we have are nothing compared to what he's experienced for us.
Have a great week and #stayblessed
