Finding And Grinding

This week flew by, we really put our heads down and got to work.

We straight up have a blank area book so the finding grind has been real. We can't knock doors so we try to get people to approach us, giving out free Jesus books is our most successful way of finding- it is seriously awesome to see the faith of people willing to pull over for teenagers with sweaty faces and homemade posters.

Unfortunately it does mean we find alot of people outside our boundary and gotta hand them off to other missionaries:(( but we trust God's plan for their conversion and keep our heads up.

My cool comp is an ASL missionary, so every night she does language study which is an hour of listening to music while she signs the lyrics. It's such a fun stress reliever after getting chiefed all day by bible-bashers :))

From the interactions we've had this week, I've seen one common theme emerge.
The book of mormon changes EVERYTHING!
It's critical to our happiness that we are constantly studying the doctrine layed out for us in the BOM.
The doctrine of God's gospel is eternal and unchanging, we can learn of the same truths that were revealed to Moses, Abraham, Nephi, even Adam and Eve.
Many people that we meet here are dedicated Christians, that are still searching for answers to the big questions. One man we met declared that He knew Jesus and would therefore be saved. But He struggled with the idea that people who don't know Christ-or were faced with such struggled that they never built a relationship with him-would be rejected from the presence of their loving Savior. The book of mormon answers EVERY question you could have about life- I promise. Read it!!!

I'm slowly falling in love with the Gonzo area! Waffle House this morning was the most southern experience I've ever had- but eating grits drowned in butter was a one time thing for me.
The 100% humidity is actually heavenly, and the weird looking bugs have turned out to be more fascinating than bothersome. No where I'd rather be!

God loves you! Never forget it!!
