I Like To Look For Rainbows

Mission life is so so special! This week alot of our appointments fell through so I focused on ministering to my quad-mates and some of our friends that have been struggling. There are some real hard trials people are going through but I'm glad I have my fellow sisters to uplift me. The way we can get to know each other spiritually as missionaries has been so amazing and I've learned so much about charity.
In 2 Peter chapter 1, Peter teaches us the pathway to having charity- or the love of Christ.
"And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity."

Charity is the ultimate goal! To love people -including ourselves- as Christ loves them is the attritube we should all be seeking. But you have to build to it! I would encourage you all to read these verses and see where on this progressive path you fit. It has blessed me so much to apply this to my life!

While this week definitely felt like I was in the trenches with some of His suffering children, I'm so so grateful that He allows me to experience the emotional depth of the gospel. Loving people is hard, sometimes they make choices that cause us and them to suffer. But Christ heals those wounds of the heart, and he can bring peace in the midst of pain.
He can also bring warmth in the midst of biking in a rain storm. I have a solid testimony of that after this week =)

God loves you and I love you!
