Your Friendly Neighborhood Clean-up Crew

Another great week in MS! We cleaned out a few houses this week that were still wrecked from the hurricane last year. One house wasn't too bad but the other......oh boy. For context, cockroaches can survive nuclear blasts- and we found nothing but dead roaches in this trailer.

We were able to clean a decent amount of the black mold off, but one room was just too far gone. So we ripped up the carpet and threw it out the window. We were all coughing, gagging, and I think I saw Elder Nelson cry. The fumes were bad enough that I think I'm now a superhero, that's what radiation does, right?!? If not, then it's probably because I heaved it all back up when we got home:)

We were crazy busy teaching lessons this week, usually around 8 a day!! It was so much fun, just exhausting. We hit the hay right at 9 every night.

I want to share a quote from the talk, "Swallowed Up in the Will of the Father" by Elder Neal A Maxwell.
"Actually, everything depends—initially and finally—on our desires. These shape our thought patterns. Our desires thus precede our deeds and lie at the very cores of our souls, tilting us toward or away from God (see D&C 4:3)."
Until we truly desire our inheritance in the kingdom of God we will find internal resistance against keeping the commandments. If you feel like there's a pull for you to act contrary to God's expectations, I'd encourage you to re-evaluate your desires! And do whatever it takes to align your will with God's.

Have a great week, love yall!
