Mormon Midwife

This is easily the most country, southern area I've been in- and it's incredible. I've learned so much about country music and accents- here's some of my favorite words:
Guvport
catsup
Allamoonium foil
Tahmatas and pahtatas

This week started with health and safety day, when we deep clean our whole apartment and get trained on mission rules. Best nap of my mission.

We did service for a homie named Fransisco, our district pulled up ready to do the hard labor that missionaries usually do for him- and ended up folding paper airplanes for 4 hrs so they could throw them at a Mardi Gras parade. Had lots of laughs tho and got the tour of his aviation museum.

The elders apartment randomly has a ton of really old church books for women and they keep sneaking them into our car!! They're good for some light reading at stoplights. My favorite is Mormon Midwife.

We did a ton of inactive work this week, one visit in particular was crazy awesome- they said they hadn't been visited by the church in years- and gave us some dinner to go as a thanks. We now have a firm testimony that biking 6 miles carrying a fat thermos of chili is exactly as ridiculous as you'd expect.

Also, I'll never get tired of hearing the sacrament prayer with a southern twang.

I love yall!! The work is progressing like crazy out here, keep up those prayers!!
