The Mormon Strut

This week was all over the place! We got pday moved to today because on Monday we went to NOLA to meet our new mission president! The Smuins are adorable and I can't wait to work with them! On the drive home we saw the fireworks on the north shore from the middle of Lake Pontchartrain on the bridge!

We went to a couple ward parties that were SO fun. Had some of the best BBQ of my life and cut it up with the members that stayed this summer to tough out the heat. Speaking of the heat- Sister Coburn is taking it like a champ. She's been on the phone with medical all week trying to treat the 50 symptoms of heat exhaustion she's got and its been a journey.

We did so much service this week, too! We welcomed the community to the 4th of July festival, and it was a blast. We technically can't dance as missionaries so we just swayed to the music they had going, and our volunteer coordinator called it the mormon strut hahaha.

On Saturday our district blitzed Amite, and we got to spend the morning with the senior couple! We stopped to see the wildlife center which was actually just a field with all these rando animals in it. Man I love Louisiana.

I love yall! Grateful for God, cajuns, and THE PROMISED LAND! Happy fourth!
