It Takes A Village

We started this week with exchanges! Sis leavitt served in mandy last year so it was so fun to welcome her back! We stayed up late chatting and getting haircuts, what more do you need for a girls night??:) We served Sky again this week, and this time she had us digging 5, 2 ft holes and we were running on straight will-power by the end! Felt good to work my muscles that hard. We had Caitlyns baptism this weekend! We had a lil scare the morning of, satan cut the power in the building so we were calling everyone making plans to move it to a pool. Just in time, the power kicked back on! Not today satan!  I was so impressed by our ward for doing such an amazing job. So many people pulled up to support her! Caitlyns sister is a member, too and gave the cutest talk, Caitlyn felt so special!!  Things got tough for her right after the confirmation. Her family at home was pretty overwhelmed by it all, and walked out. So, she called us for help and almost immediately we had 6 people at her door

Convicting Their Hearts

The most BLESSED week. This was the most success I've seen since I got here, and building this area from the ground up these last 3 transfers has been so rewarding!!  We started the week by getting cancelled on all evening! Yay! Jk. But we saved the night by sneaking cookies to a ton of people on behalf of the ward- so we had to hide that it was us. We ding dong ditched like 20 people with only one mishap when i tripped over a tree and log rolled into a ditched. Still got away without getting caught ;) Later we met an ex-con that requested to study with us, and ended up at the halfway house he lives in with 6 other excons. This concerned us, the ward, the elders, God and our mamas so we now have permission to do visits with a brother from the ward! We went out with a member of our bishopric one night, on his BIRTHDAY! Stud.  We've been prepping Caitlyns baptism this week- she just passed her interview YAY!- and it has been SO fun! I have seen SO MANY BLESSINGS this week as I

God Calls Mandeville To Repentance

This week was filled to the brim!! Sister van Stam left to go to BR so we're a trio this transfer until Sister Beazer goes home in August!  The heat was unreal, the humidity made it feel like 110 all week!! I passed out twice on this dudes porch and it was probably cus of the heat, or it was the fact that he was bashing us out of our minds.  We drove to the mission home Saturday morning to pick up Sister Beazer, and got to see a few missionaries get picked up by their parents. Totally didn't make me trunky:) We had an insane miracle with Caitlyn!! We felt a prompting to invite her to move up her date to next week. When we got to her house she beat us to it! Said she'd had a prompting to move it to the same date we'd been thinking! So now we're planning a tism and a temple trip for right after!!  A couple crazy storms hit us this weekend, with lightning straight up striking in our parking lot and thunder that shook the apartment!! God unleashed the call to repentance

Date Night

Long time no see yall:)) Haha it was a good weekend. Went out with bishop and his wife Friday night, which we found out was their date night!! Nothing more romantic than hanging out with Sister missionaries ig LOL. We had three incredible lessons, two were with our friends on date Caitlyn and Star! Caitlyn brought her boys to church yesterday and it made my heart so happy!!  Our third lesson was with a gray dot that I picked out because we have the same name! She's way cooler than me tho and spells it Emelie Frazer. She was amazing and now we're teaching her!  Since it was a short lil email here's a spiritual snack for yall.  "And now, behold, because ye have tried the experiment, and planted the seed, and it swelleth and sprouteth, and beginneth to grow, ye must needs know that the seed is good. And now, behold, is your knowledge perfect? Yea, your knowledge is perfect in that thing, and your faith is dormant; and this because you know, for ye know that the word hath

The Mormon Strut

This week was all over the place! We got pday moved to today because on Monday we went to NOLA to meet our new mission president! The Smuins are adorable and I can't wait to work with them! On the drive home we saw the fireworks on the north shore from the middle of Lake Pontchartrain on the bridge!  We went to a couple ward parties that were SO fun. Had some of the best BBQ of my life and cut it up with the members that stayed this summer to tough out the heat. Speaking of the heat- Sister Coburn is taking it like a champ. She's been on the phone with medical all week trying to treat the 50 symptoms of heat exhaustion she's got and its been a journey.  We did so much service this week, too! We welcomed the community to the 4th of July festival, and it was a blast. We technically can't dance as missionaries so we just swayed to the music they had going, and our volunteer coordinator called it the mormon strut hahaha.  On Saturday our district blitzed Amite, and we got t
